Re: What are some of your favorite books from your childhood?
The Beatrix Potter books about all the talking animals.
I was also the child who devoured anything and everything about various different mythologies and religions, so lots of books about those as well.
The D&D core rule-books. No joke, I'd sit there pouring over all the lore in any book I could find. My favourites were the books about the gods and religions, but I also read all the Monster Manuals they came out with too.
And following from that: the Drizz't Do Urden books, I loved them as a kid. Haven't tried reading them since but I imagine I might not be as enamored with them. :P
