OP, I'm doing the same with a friend right now. We have a whole universe together and have written hundreds or thousands of words about the OCs we created. We steal footage of our faceclaims to make art, gifs, graphics, aesthetics, fanvideos, that nobody else will ever see and we don't care because we enjoy ourselves so much. We've even built a wiki after we started losing track after years of building. Then in January this year, the spark just... went out. I don't want to lose these characters but I feel like I am and that's such a sad thing.
