Life being shitty and not worth staying up for?

Realizing my niece is graduating high school in a few months.

Not knowing who some currently popular singer is and realizing I don't care that I don't know.

Jesus...I was old when I was in high school, then.

(I actually have a broader (though still limited) grasp of modernish performers than I did then...)

Falling asleep when watching movies.

well, if they're boring movies it's got nothing to do with being old.

They're not boring as it happens with movie that I want to see. I just fall asleep if I'm watching at home around 8-9pm. Boyfriend calls me old lady and I agree.

I haven't nodded off at the cinema yet...

I managed to doze off ten minutes into Fast And Furious 7 at the cinema. To be fair it was nearly 2AM and I only went because my friend was super into them and insisted I go, and my brain just went "mehh." I'm still mildly impressed at my ability to fall asleep during such a noisy movie.

My niece telling me that her peers consider my favorite bands "oldies". Oh, and I'd rather have a seat at a concert than mosh in the pit now. I've never felt as old as the day I walked out of a pit feeling exhausted rather than energized. Just can't keep up with the kids anymore.

I live across the street from where I went to middle school, and today a couple of kids went by my yard and said hi. I’m old enough to have teenage kids.

Declining Saturday night invitations from friends to go to THE CLUB because I've got a nice bottle of wine and a shitty horror movie lined up at home.

Ran into a girl I went to primary school with at a BBQ and she had a 5 month old. It was such a lovely surprise.

I started going grey at 22 years old, and now it's 20 years later and I'm pretty much silver all over. Didn't feel old then, started feeling a little bit old now. *g*
