Unless it was in the carefully moderated and preordained way in which Things Had Always Been Done, with lots of rules and required consensus. It was stifling. T

I didn't find it had to be moderated, but it definitely feels like fun is looked down on. I think some of it's because it's so RL centric, and RL isn't always very much fun. But I also think a lot of people use LJ as a journal in a really strict sense, which means you're expected to stick to "real" stuff.

(Anonymous) 2018-04-28 01:18 am (UTC)(link)I was referring to moderation in terms of communities, fests, etc. I prefer the Wild West style of tumblr and AO3 because rules and restrictions are a buzzkill for me in fandom.
