Manchester By The Sea made $20 million more at the box office than Moonlight. So I don't know how true that is.

I mean, we could play the game of coming up with example movies, and then trying to come up with reasons why they're not valid comparisons, all day. So let me be clear, I'm not saying that race was the one single reason behind everything about Moonlight's performance at the box office. There's a lot of reasons that you could cite to explain why Moonlight made the amount of money it did. I think race could potentially be one of those reasons.
