I wish this wasn't such a thing.

I reply to every single comment on my fics (well, non-troll comment), even if it's just an emoji, because I truly am grateful to have the readers I have.

Thanks to that thread the other day, I'll try to be a little less judgey about those who don't reply to comments I leave on their work, though, because it's possible it's NOT a sign of arrogance like I tend to assume. But I still won't leave a long comment on those fics if I'm not sure it's appreciated by the author (maybe they don't even read them? If they don't reply, no way to know... on both sides).

Do what feels right to you and try not to worry about it, I guess?
