"Problematic" pairings in general. I don't know if it's just my specific fandoms or if it's a widespread thing or what, but I'm so tired of "this pairing is problematic and if you ship it you're a problematic person". Like, I understand that argument for pairings that glorify abuse, but for ones that involve only consenting adults, they're just a little...unconventional? Come on.

Also, ships of minor/background characters. There's a particular fandom where I shipped two incredibly minor characters who never even had a scene together mainly because of the actors. They were in something else together where they had an insane amount of chemistry but never could've gotten together because of a power imbalance, so I expected there to be at least a couple fics putting them together in this new fandom, but...nope. Not a single one.

And rare pairs. I feel like it used to be that you could find fic for every possible pairing in a fandom if it was big enough, because no matter how cracktastic it was, there was always someone that shipped it. Now it seems like most fandoms seem to stick to a small handful of either canon or just incredibly predictable pairings and it's pretty boring.
