'I'm so attractive and vivacious that someone is going to spoil me rich just for existing. I'll never have to work a day in my life and I'll live like royalty just because I am and all I have to do is give them occasional sex and attention and otherwise get to do my own thing'. Oftentimes with a mix of 'oh its so dirty and shameful' kink. Power imbalance kink is sometimes a thing too as well as manipulation on one or both sides. Lots of people dig being SO desirable that just them existing is enough to justify being smothered in privilege (lots of princess scenarios fulfill this too). Add to the fact that the current generation driving a lot of fic is in college/just out of college facing a job market that's completely tanked and already carrying more debt than they feel they'll ever get out from under without the dream job ahead they were told was possible as a kid and no chance to ever live up to the financial standards their parents had and the fantasy of having someone sweep in take that all away and cater to them for being just themselves motivates the strong fandom wave currently going on.

*know your audience and you can write drek and still make it a best seller
