It's not you. Comments are harder to come by than they used to be. People who have tons of comments either wrote the right fic at the right time, have a lot of friends/are fandom-popular, or are good at advertising themselves, or all three.

(Which isn't to say that everyone with an obscene amount of comments is a hack, just that talent isn't the only factor.)
