In the 'heyday' of LJ, i was writing Buffy and Supernatural fic, and got a *lot* of comments.

Now I post to AO3 and honestly - not a lot of comments. I think that the culture has changed a bit, and newer fans just don't quite see the comment thing as as important as we did back then.

And yeah - it's really not about your skills at all, don't get into that headspace.

I miss the days of posting fic on LJ. You get a lot more exposure on AO3 or FFN but LJ was so cozy and friendly... and yes, lots more comments, even with less readers.

It was definitely more of a 'family' kind of thing. I had long conversations in LJ comments with people - it was a lot of fun.

I still love fandom and all that entails, but i do miss that....

I miss the community of LJ so much. It makes me very sad sometimes. I used to love finding friends to chat to through mutual interest in fic and that just doesn't really exist anymore.
