I don't drink alcohol and my coworkers can't seem to accept that. I don't care if people drink and I'm not judging or anything, but it's not for me. My coworkers apparently think my way of thinking is wrong and are always gifting me beer and wine. Like damn, these are the people DARE should've warned me about. The potheads I know only asked me once if I wanted to sample some and respected my choice when I said no.

Your coworkers are idiots. I love me some red wine, but I recognize that choosing not to drink is 100% normal and valid, and people need to stop pressuring others into doing stuff to justify their own choices.

Yeah I've got a friend who doesn't drink who gets the same problem. Why people can't just get off her case about it IDK. It's like people take her decision not to drink personally.

I feel you. I don't drink either and a bunch of my coworkers joked about 'we'll have to fix that' which struck me as hella rude. People are odd about drinking.

I hate it when people try to force you into changing your life just to fit their narrow views of what's normal.

Have you thought about lying to them and saying that you would only ever consider changing your mind for the ridiculously expensive stuff? They'd either stop giving you drinks or you'd get some nice stuff you can regift.

If they insist on being so disrespectful and annoying, you might as well take advantage of it.

I don't drink either. Most people are fine with it, though sometimes it will take a bit for them to really get that, no, you don't drink alcohol, no, you don't care what kind it is, no you haven't tried whatever the hell cocktail/spritzer/flavored vodka they think is awesome and your not going to. But some people just won't get it - they seem to think you're sitting in judgment of them or their lifestyle or you just haven't found the right type of alcohol or you just need to loosen up.

You could accept the gifts and make it clear you won't be drinking them (This beer will be great for polishing my copper, fixing my lawn, shampooing my hair, etc.) and maybe it will stop.
