Yeah, but can you imagine the casting call for that?

"Ugly girls only"

I mean, I know there are conventional beauty standards but how does someone decide on something vague like "unattractiveness", which is still fairly subjective. I imagine they'd get a lot of flak for deciding what traits are considered ugly or not, particularly when POC are involved (it's hard enough for POC to land modeling gigs because of our very racist beauty standards)

There's an ugly actor modelling agency, they specialise in 'unconventional' looking people (it's called 'UGLY Models Agency').

Casting breakdowns can be brutal.

I don't think you have to specify ugly, just consider a wider range of actors when you audition people. And, you know, not always casting someone who's attractive.
