I'm a fan of certain specific Marvel and DC characters. I would never call myself a Marvel fan or a DC fan because I'm not interested in most of their lineup. It is a little ironic that I probably know more about the lineups than most people who call themselves Marvel and DC fans though.

May be an age thing. If you're old enough to remember when comics as a medium were popular, you've probably heard of more than the teenage MCU fan through sheer osmosis.

Same here. There are a few characters/teams from either publisher that I love, but I couldn't care about the rest. I'm certainly not loyal to any of them (tho, I still haven't forgiven DC for fucking up the Batfamily dynamic in their reboot and whatever came after).
I just think the fights are pretty silly.
