Re: Inspired by #6: Is it okay to drool over fandom crushes around people who aren't interested?

I try not to fangirl over anything to people who aren't interested in the subject. This goes for crushes, fandoms, hobbies and pretty much anything.

this should be standard behavior for anything that one person loves to death that another person gives zero shits about. recipes, gardening, sports, cats, etc forever.

I'll talk about things I like in conversations with people who are also talking about things they like. I'm pretty open about being a nerd. But I don't go overboard I don't think (except with my parent's pastor who I always fangirl cats around since he hates them and has made some rude comments about them I really detest).

AYRT - I had never considered fangirling as a tool for punishment or revenge. I love it!

Not something I'd usually do. But if you joke about dead cats or killing cats, you are dead to me and deserving of whatever you get.

Basically. I do not like him. But I can't say that to him on account of the parents. So I torture him with cat love instead.

Yes, this. There are a lot of things that interest me that don't interest everyone so I'll keep it to myself and wait until I can share them with someone who's interested. I think doing otherwise is pretty rude.
