It can get very awkward and I do understand OP of that secret being squicked by their mother-in-law fangirling younger guys. I think it's fine to mention that you like a particular actor or whatever, but it gets obnoxious, awkward, and creepy PDQ if you keep bringing it up, and it's downright rude if you keep doing it around people who have expressed their discomfort at you doing it. I think MIL is allowed to crush on younger guys, tho.
