I was just reading a smut-tastic fic and in one of the A/N in the chapter I just finished reading, the author disclosed that the scene I was about to read was based on her irl experiences.... SON. I did not need to know that. It took me out of the fic so fast...ugh shudder. WHY? WHY DID YOU FEEL THE NEED TO SHARE THAT? Just...no.

so chapter X was written to deal with a loss, A (not the same type of loss, B)
chapter Y was excitement about an event and future irl possibilities
chapter X has an edit (that I mentioned) stating that since the writing of the chapter, the author has experienced loss B irl, and is editing the chapter to be more reflective of her irl experience...the edit AN was written sometime after Chapter Y. It's sad. I'm just gonna skip the A/Ns.
