Honestly, I just thought he looked dumb and his emotional/ethical baggage was laid on too thick to take seriously. And his standpoint might be compelling for like a comic book targeted at preteens, but since it doesn't logically make much sense as a reasonable course of action for someone with unlimited godlike powers who is concerned about lack of resources in largely populated areas to take...he was kinda meh.
