Thanos's stupid plan isn't what makes him interesting.

It's the fact that he's so convinced he's some sort of Tragic Genius who's the only one brave enough to do What Must Be Done(the capitals are very important here), yet is objectively completely bonkers and an imbecile making the dumbest decisions, and accepting the consequences as Manpain instead of doing something actually intelligent with what he can do.

That's what's interesting about Thanos.

His plan is still really fucking stupid though.
