PREACH. I can't even with all these "he's complex and has reasons for doing stuff" arguments that keep cropping up in film reviews. The movie never showed me well enough why he is so emotionally invested in this idea of "saving" the universe by killing half of its population - there is no indication that he cares about people in any way or has any ethical qualms about anything, so why....?
