Is there an option or an addon that would let you open an additional chat tab to cover the guild chat?

Damn I'm so glad that in the only online game I play, political issues are definitely not a thing in guild chat.

Have you tried telling them in a calm way? You should at least try it.

Temporary solution is if it’s audio you turn off your speakers/headphones and if it’s a corner thread box you put a post-it over it. I guess that defeats the purpose of being in a guild in the first place but if they’re being a-holes you don’t HAVE to be involved with them. The purpose of a GAME is to have fun.
