This is an odd movie to pick. It’s one of the only animated movies I’ve seen where I think the subtext between them was intentional.

I read it as they were glad the movie focused on the fact that their friendship was equally important as a romantic relationship, which could have been done with any movie that doesn't through subtext at you so hard that it's practically text?
