I agree as a fanfic writer, lots of people don't realize that just because they are interested in the fic doesn't mean they can't be rude in how they express it.

I've gotten some "update soon" type comments, that were really inconsiderate. For example I take a fairly long time to write new chapters for this one fic because they're pretty long. Right after I posted a chapter I got a request from a complete stranger to write a new chapter in time for their birthday.

It just seemed really bizarre and rude to me because I don't like pressure to write chapters by a certain time and I don't even KNOW this person so why would I bust my butt to write a fic in a month because their birthday was coming up.

Does OP just.. not see why demands to write an update soon can be taxing or just plain not considerate of the person writing?
