What are some kinks - or general tropes - that you just don't understand?

Not so much things that you dislike, but things that you just don't see the appeal at all.

Humiliation. I can't even watch The Office because the second hand embarrassment gets to me.

Yep. Humiliation is bad enough, I can’t imagine doing anything in response to humiliation in a sexual situation except cry.

I hate humiliation. I would be tempted to read bdsm fic but it almost always tends to include humiliation of some kind and... thanks but no.

I probably got some recs if you want them. Depends on what fandoms you are in.

Same. Be it as a kink or as a source of comedy, I can't take humiliation at all.

If it's included in a non-con/torture type fic I really enjoy it, but I don't understand it as a consensual kink tbh. Like you I think I'm often put off by its inclusion into consensual BDSM scenarios, and keep that far far away from me in real life.

I could only possibly imagine liking it if it is consensual. That's the only thing that makes it hot for me

Not a kink, but another person I know on Tumblr is suddenly reblogging posts about top surgery, and I'm starting to worry. I definitely get it, it's an interesting idea in theory, and even appealing when you're very busty. But somehow, I find myself clutching my own chest protectively.

Any romance about a mean, nagging woman & an idiotic, bumbling man. I wouldn't be able to root for a relationship like that even if it wasn't such a cliche.

Same. I get that this has been a popular trope for a very long time and there's certain eras of television where you simply cannot escape it... but it's so tired and awful and I'd be okay with never seeing it again.

Yes. So much yes. The only pairing it works for me with is Han and Leia. Otherwise, I can't stand it. Least favorite relationship trope.

I'm into power dynamics, consent issues, gender stereotypes, etc., but I just don't get ABO. It's so complicated and outlandish that I just end up salty that the author didn't write kinky het instead.

I can't get into ABO either.

Yeaaaaah, ABO is just one of those things I do not want.

Foot stuff - I get most body part fetishes, even if I don't have them, but feet just... straddle the line between gross and boring for me. What I especially hate is how often an extreme focus on feet comes up in BDSM art... like no I don't want an extreme closeup of the other character's gross toes as they step on someone I just want nice bondage art please

Vore as well, especially the swallowing-whole kind. Some cannibalism stuff I can kind of see as a subset of guro, but general vore is just odd.

I can't say I could ever get behind enjoying m-preg, ABO, transfic or those AUs where you could change the name of the characters and not know what fandom the fic is for anymore. I also really hate all things even remotely cringey/second-hand embarrassment or humiliation and can't fathom how anyone can enjoy that stuff.
And while I can probably see why some people might have a morbid fascination with it I can't imagine never enjoying something like cannibalism, necrophilia or guro.

And then there's some hardcore stuff in the porn world like ... apparently there are people who enjoy/fetishise stuff like anal prolapse and ... fuck no. No.

Humiliation. How is being insulted and ridiculed a turn-on?

Foot fetish. How on earth are feet hot? Sexy shoes, I can get. I think boots are super sexy. But feet? Ew.

Also bickering relationships. I never get that.
