Sex pollen! Kind of like the other anon said, as an excuse for people to bang without needing a lot of buildup. I love exploring the aftermath, too. I've written two sex pollen fics, and the couple in one had a falling out afterward, and the other couple finally confessed their feelings after. It's fun to think about how it affects the characters emotionally. Plus, I mean, it's hot AF. :D
