I guess it's nice that we're being equal opportunity in our complaints that live action actors don't look muscular enough for the comics characters they play?

Depending on the artist, comics characters can be drawn with ridiculously unrealistic muscles (or boobs, etc.) so I tend not to consider it necessary to replicate comics musculature exactly. It's more a matter of "Does thus person appear to be ripped, or at least in very good physical shape, y/n?"

the fact that comics!deadpool has at least physically possible human proportions puts him on the slim side compared to how a lot of his colleagues are drawn, so it would seem weird to me if he were exactly that beefy. It would make him look too similar to live-action Cable and Colossus, who by virtue of having to cast real people are smaller than their drawn counterparts. Reynolds!Deadpool is proportionally slimmer too, which keeps the character designs properly balanced/contrasting.

There's nothing wrong with preferring beefy guys, but...like. If you don't want to get into the comics just because you like the comics design, Cable and Colossus ARE right there.
