wonder if the same people who complain about "tumblr morality police" will come in here with "omg you're mean for this!'

(Anonymous) 2018-05-29 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Why would they?

(Anonymous) 2018-05-29 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
lol, obviously

(Anonymous) 2018-05-29 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
mean? hardly. edgy and bitter, sure

a bit sad that you guys are trying to milk drama out of someone's death

(Anonymous) 2018-05-29 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Not sure what you think is the connection here. Don't people usually complain about "tumblr morality police" because they think he tumblr morality police are mean?

(Anonymous) 2018-05-29 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
There would seem to be a contradiction if you're someone who believes that the "tumblr morality police" are bad because they're against or harmful to "free speech", I would say.

Obviously, that's not true of everyone who complains about the "tumblr morality police". Realistically, most of these constructs are kind of useless generalizations that probably do more harm than good for understanding what's happening.

No, the TMP are bad because they are harassing people about fanfic.

People saying some anon is an asshole is not the same thing.

(Anonymous) 2018-05-29 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm annoyed at the fact that you read my post and got the idea that I was supporting any of those ideas, and not just saying that they exist

(Anonymous) 2018-05-30 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
the amount of screaming fanboy tears i've witnessed in this vein since the dude died is off the chart. "OMG DON'T BE MEEEEEN IT WAS FINE WHEN TB DID IT BUT BUT BUT hAVe SoMe reSPeCT!!!!1one"

ding dong the dick is dead, assholes. find some other toxic scum to idolize.

(Anonymous) 2018-05-30 06:29 am (UTC)(link)
I don't celebrate anyones death. No matter how scummy they are. If someone I hate dies then I just leave it at that and move on with my life. Like... they are dead. It's over.

Celebrating someones death, as if it's somehow your own victory, just makes you look like vindictive scum.

it also doesn't hurt the dead person, who is, you know, dead. it hurts those grieving for him. like, i just don't get it

i never liked him and was fairly mad at his views and not sad that he's dead but im not gleeful? celebrating? heck
