Not sure what you think is the connection here. Don't people usually complain about "tumblr morality police" because they think he tumblr morality police are mean?

There would seem to be a contradiction if you're someone who believes that the "tumblr morality police" are bad because they're against or harmful to "free speech", I would say.

Obviously, that's not true of everyone who complains about the "tumblr morality police". Realistically, most of these constructs are kind of useless generalizations that probably do more harm than good for understanding what's happening.
