TBH I only really started enjoying the show once I accepted that it didn't actually make sense and started watching it as the Wacky Fun Weird-ass Pointless Action Hour

Nah. This show is uniquely, brilliantly disorienting and I love it. Have you tried rewatching any episodes?

It's unique in the sense that no one else is really making anything like it right now. But it's not especially novel or anything - IMO it's pretty straightforward in what it's actually doing, once you sit down and track it all through. The show just makes it hard to actually track it when you're watching it the first time through because (a) there's a bunch of visually dazzling setpieces all over the place and (b) it doesn't do exposition in a straightforward/clear/explicit manner.

Well, yes. It doesn't condescend to its audience by spelling everything out, and it treats all the bizarre supernatural goings-on as if they're actually bizarre, instead of giving the characters cutesy, deadpan quips to react with. It's refreshing.

It's a style, some people are into it, some people aren't

That's fine, but what OP is advocating is cutting out that style and what makes the show unique so it doesn't get cancelled, which is baffling to me.

Er... no, they didn't say that at all? The OP of the secret clearly didn't care for the style and said they believed it would get the show cancelled. The secret doesn't say a single word about "cutting out that style" so it won't get cancelled. Maybe you've got this confused with another discussion elsewhere?

Read the Reddit threads, they do a good job explaining things.

I've only watched season 1, does something happen in season 2 that makes things not make sense? Because I had no issues following the first season.

A bunch of bottle episodes, one WHAT IF? episode, and rehashes. It IS going somewhere but it's super slow to the point of annoyance.

It was my favourite show last season but now I just roll my eyes at every episode, alternately yelling "WE ALREADY KNOW THIS" or "THIS DIVERSION DOESN'T MATTER GODDAMNIT."

This season is more linear than last season, IMO.

What's to be confused about? Farouk's in Oliver's body, Oliver's convinced Melanie to be on their side, they're trying to find Farouk's body so they can resurrect him so that he can stop Future David from destroying the world, and they used David's sister Amy's body to resurrect Lenny to throw everyone off-guard. Potonomy is dead and has had his consciousness ported to the mainframe, where he's hanging out with Baskethead and the dead Monk, occasionally taking over one of the Bowl-Cut Mustache Android Women to communicate with David, Clark is still suspicious of basically all the mutants, and occasionally Cary/Kerry have trouble merging. David goes in Cary's pod to communicate with Future Syd, who has lost an arm and hasn't told him that he's fixin' to go all Apocalyptic on the world.

Oh yes, it's all over the place but stylistically I dig the show and I'm just along for the ride.
