This seems to be a gay porn by gay men trope, and I wonder if female slash authors who do this are trying to make their work sound more like a guy wrote it. Or they are a guy, whichever, men write slash too. But I've definitely read that one difference between the way male writers describe bodies is that they're much more interested in precise measurements. And women don't...tend to care as much or at all.

I've read het where there is vein -level description of the member itself, but no 7 inches 14 cms description. Just how the generalized length or width feels...
