Yes, yes, and HELL YES.
I love research, and do a lot of it, but it really irks me when its obvious that someone hasn't put even the most *cursory* effort into it.

I yell at tv/movies all the time for inaccurate medical stuff, and when i find myself doing it with fic, too - SO ANNOYING.
