Lots of reasons.
(Anonymous) 2018-06-06 01:35 am (UTC)(link)Because a character's age doesn't necessarily correlate with the actor's age (seriously, an audition for a character in their early thirties might have a call for anyone from 25-40)
Because teen characters are often played by actors that are in their twenties (In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter's crush and homecoming dance date, Liz, is played by an actor who was 27 when the film came out)

And that stuff is also things teenagers in this day and age would say, wtf is your point? Teenagers and young college students can have overlapping interests. It doesn’t mean that Shuri wasn’t obviously meant to be portrayed as the super genius teenage sibling to the Hero.

That's exactly the point. Since there's an overlap, there's nothing wrong or strange with seeing her as college-aged either.
