People can ship what they wanna ship. But I do find it telling when they try and justify a controversial ship. Just accept you want to ship a teenager with an adult OP. Sheesh!

Not the OP and I don’t ship Shuri with anyone (or anyone in the MCU with anyone else tbh) and I a) thought Shuri was older than 16 b) wouldn’t care if she was 16 since I don’t assume 18 is the age of majority everywhere. I would actually be a bit weirded out if someone wrote May-December romance with the same kind of power imbalance that would be inherent in shipping a 16 year old American girl with M’Baku, Killmonger, or Ross (those are the usual shipping suspects that I’ve seen but I’m sure there’re more.)

It shouldn't even be controversial because shuri isn't real. It's not fans jobs to justify anything, if you want to attack someone attack the industry for doing this shit of casting adults as teens.
