And yet if I was caught on camera putting up a massive Star of David, the non anti-semites would congratulate me on being "fierce" and "brave" for my pride in my religion.

A giant cross isn't going to hurt anyone. I mean, unless it falls down onto them.

You'd get no congratulations from me. I might not be as uncomfortable about it because historically, Judaism doesn't have Christianity's track record of discrimination and pushing a political agenda of discriminating social policies. But I'd still find it a distasteful, tacky display of religion.
