What do those antis say about book series which follows a character from childhood and into they become adults and form relationships? With that logic they must also think the authors are pedophiles? Or?

Think about it- all adults was once children. So shipping anyone, ever, must mean hidden pedophilia...

It's like the opposite of when some people didn't like the idea of Dumbledore having been in a relationship years before because "Ew, he's old!"

Yes, the antis do think it's pedophilia. This was the case for Harry Potter and Warcraft, where characters who used to be children at the start of the series are now adults. I still saw people calling people pedophiles for shipping them, and comparing them to creeps having countdowns to child celebrity's 18th birthday.
