Looks like eyeliner to me.

(Anonymous) 2018-06-14 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
It's because he's not attractive enough to carry it.

I tried to watch that show & got irritated by how many inventions or methods they were claiming were ACTUALLY discovered by him. That's just not true at all & it takes me right out of the mood.

The actor that plays the young Joe Kenda on Homicide Hunter, Carl Marino, for the re-enactment bits also looks like he's always wearing eyeliner to me. But I'm 99% certain that he isn't? He can carry the look though.

But it's like "Oh really?" and I'm like "excuse me while I go fan myself."

My mother likes this show and I always refer to it as the one with "plastic people". The main dude looks like a Ken doll with the slicked back hair and everything.

Aww, poor William. I like his silly guyliner.

Though... ngl, I think Julia, Crabtree and Brackenried carry that series.

Crabtree is my fave! Brackenreid and now Watts have grown on me. I liked Julia until her entire storyline this season was about a baby she was never supposed to have in the first place - and William already his second chance about her stance on abortion and not being able to have kids and he blew it big time. I didn't want to see them back together :/

When I think of makeup on men, I think of classic Star Trek and how when you want the re-mastered version, it's clear how much eye makeup a lot of the male actors were wearing (the women wore a lot, too, but that was more obvious).

I disagree. I like his eyelashes. <3

Guys with noticeable eyelashes are pretty cool in my opinion.

I like it, though I don't think he's wearing any - he just has really dark eyelashes. This show is my comfort show - low stress and fun~

(Anonymous) 2018-06-15 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think he's wearing any either. It's like Nestor Carbonell, Richard Alpert's actor on LOST. Both have thick, dark, short bottom eyelashes that could be mistaken for eyeliner.

I had to google that guy, but YES. HIM, EXACTLY. I spent so much time during LOST trying to figure out if he was wearing eyeliner, lol.

I know what you mean, I thought that too, but no, guy just has bomb ass eyelashes. Looks the same in everything he's in.

(Anonymous) 2018-06-15 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I've only seen him in Murdoch and Sue Thomas, but ... yup. Just really nice eyelashes.

the actor's home is awesome. He has the widest bed I've ever seen and an interesting open plan bedroom.

I just really like this comment and would like to give you a high five, because I also enjoy looking at peoples' houses and admiring their layout/decor!

So late, but I do not care.

I get what your saying, but I always found the makeup in that show to be pretty good. Yannik Bison really does have thick lashes, and the makeup they put in him (every actor wears makeup after all) does make it seem a bit much at times, but I can't see how it's any more distracting than any other show. His look is pretty much natural.

One of the things I love about Murdoch is that they consciously don't plaster on makeup for any of the women, giving them all a more natural look. Given that it's set in the 1900's, they do a good job keeping in with the time period.

The inventions I thought are more or less a bit of a gag, just like how Crabtree talks about a lot of modern inventions, only to be laughed off.
In the more recent episodes they tone it down a lot, and usually whenever Murdoch does think of something new he almost always says he got the idea from somewhere or someone else.

Right... I'll stop being a stan now;;
