It's not that I can't get into it, I just don't care about it at all. I'm like that with most fandoms that get featured here though.

It's a series in III Acts, most of the plot happens through singing (DON'T RUN AWAY IT'S FUN OKAY). There are only 3 main characters (and an Evil Horse and three singing cowboys ). The Hero, The Villain, and The Girl. Love triangle of doom, tragic (BEAUTIFULBEAUTIFULBEAUTIFUL) ending.

That's about it. For me at least <3

ME TOOOOOOO, EVEN DISNEY MADE ME RUN AWAY SOMETIMES ALSJHKÖSJDASK except for Enchanted, but I'll never admit to watching and enjoying it, HAH! BUT IT'S REALLY NICE.

Maybe give the first act a chance? They are together maybe an hour.

My parents made me go to Lion King, even though I watched the DVD obsessively with a friend. Dad and I dozed after the first break, ahaha.

If I can't convince you with the Bad Horse and the out of fucking nowhere!cowboys, nothing is.

The plot sounds good, it really does. But the singing just makes me not want to spend time watching it.

It is and something new, but either you are missing something out you'd actually enjoy or you save yourself the trouble finding out you were right and it's not your thing.

I just don't see the point in spending time watching something I know I won't like. Although, I can get it on LJ if I ever change my mind but ty anyway.

I like to try new things too. Most of what I'm into now is because I took a chance, but I'm never going to like musicals. There's be no point in me downloading it.

It's about 43 minutes long...

Actually, you have this young guy, Billy, who want to join a legion of supervillains. He has a costume and a villain moniker already picked out, that would Dr. Horrible of the title. He has sent in his villain to be applications and such but that really hasn't gone everywhere. Mostly because his archenemy, Captain Hammer, keeps on foiling his plans in public.

But Dr. Horrible has new plans. And, hopefully, these new plans will get the attention of the main supervillain, Bad Horse.

Meanwhile, Billy also has a crush on a girl who he sees at the laundry mat named Penny. However; as shy as Billy is, he can never bring up the courage to ask her out. But he also has plans to get around this.

That is if Captain Hammer doesn't mess them up. And of course, he does.

And there's singing. Lots of very catchy singing.

It's silly, sweet and witty. Plus they have a "Fake Thomas Jefferson" as an archvillain. How can you beat that?

Normally, I am in the same boat as you.

I can only stomach one musical and that's the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

But Sweeney Todd? Never finished it.
Chicago? Oscar winner or not, didn't watch it.
Dreamgirls? See above.

I used to even fast forward through the musical numbers of Disney films. And even those it was a Joss Whedon show, I hated the musical episode of Buffy. Hated it was a passion.

But Dr. Horrible? Yes, there are some cheesy songs but for the most part it really works. And mostly because of Neil Patrick Harris. He makes the singing tolerable rather than cringe worthy.

I say give it a try.

You have nothing to lose outside a few minutes if you don't like it.
