Sadly I don't think most of them are teens, they're twenty-something's who aren't that far off being 'too old' for fandom themselves.

And it's a strange thing to preach when the media that those people are fannish about and consuming are made by adults... so if adults aren't allowed to enjoy or write about anything then where's that media gonna come from?

Yeah, I'm honestly not sure which is worse, discourse blogs featuring know-it-all teens or discourse blogs featuring know-it-all young adults fresh from college culture bubbles.

Both. Both are bad, but the teen at least has the chance to grow out of it and realise that they're being dumb.

And I'd hope the twenty-something's will grow some self-awareness but well, if wishes were fishes.

FTR, "discourse" blogs claim to exist to primarily explain why other people on tumblr have the wrong opinion and are bad people, but usually just end up reblogging each other's shitposts, memes, and blocklists.

Yeah, their "Discourse" is just wank with language borrowed from their overpriced an useless college courses, and their "Social Justice" is at best terrible appeals to moral authority in an attempt to justify why their OTP is best. People fought and died for some of these ideas, and this is where we're at? Fighting over canon end games? Just goes to show there's nothing under the sun that people can't fuck up.
