What the heck is wrong with those people ! I've been a few years older than my peers in College (because of multiple reasons). Should I have not be friends with them because of it. And I've already been friends, am friend, with people from a wide range of ages, some younger (not kids, just younger), some my age, and some older than me. Somehow, it never once came to my mind that my older friends, even those way older, were pedophiles. Once, because not everybody has some ulterior sexual intention when they're friend with someone. And two, because I was not a kid. Which make me think that I am so sick of seeing the word "pedophil(ia)" thrown away willy nilly. It's a very serious, very grave, very disgusting thing that applied to people attracted to CHILDREN. Which means, people who haven't reach PUBERTY. It's not an argument toy ! Also, I'm sorry OP and it's great that you're helping people with your work.

The thing I find especially funny is that these people are freaking out over how any adult who tries to interact with teenagers is dangerous and are warning other teenagers to be careful about that stuff...

...all while they're simultaneously sharing seemingly every single detail of their personal lives online. Uh...

I think a lot of these people are too young to be in college yet, because if they were they'd realise how silly they were being. In my university drama club, where the fresh-faced 17yo was friends with people in their twenties and people older who were helping out with the lights etc, and it wasn't a big deal because we were all in college.
