I don't get why people sort their books by color, but whatever. Their shelves, not mine.

Disagree on a lot of the other points, though. Why do they have to love every book they own? I have plenty of books I thought were okay, but not awesome. I also don't review anymore. If that's not the type of reader they are, that's fine.

Yeah, this. I have all sorts of books, from ones I adore and reread regularly, to ones I bought out of curiosity and absolutely hated, to ones I have no idea how I acquired or what they're about. I used to do a thing where I'd go to the local secondhand bookshops and buy a handful of anything that looked interesting when I had a bit of spare cash. (I do still do this, but a lot less regularly). Usually three or four books at a time for around seven or eight euros. I have some utter shite because of that, and some guilty pleasures, and some odd stuff I never got around to reading either. And some gems that I'd never have found otherwise.

You don't have to love every book you own. Though if you'd prefer to only spend money on stuff you actually do love, then trying stuff out in libraries first is probably a better plan than mine (I do also do this, but secondhand treasure hauls seem more fun).

I have books crammed in every corner I can fit them and bookcases everywhere including my kitchen. I cannot imagine keeping a book I didn't really enjoy or that I felt was important. I don't have room for that! I realize not everyone is the same type of reader/book buyers I am but, yeah, coming from my angle, there's just not space for mediocre books in my apartment.

DA That's how I feel too. Sure, I've gotten some mediocre books that had really pretty spines and looked nice on my shelves, but there's seriously no room in my house for any books that I don't love.

Even if you are an enthusiastic book reviewer (which I'm not, either, even though I love reading), would you be doing on Instagram? That feels like the wrong platform....
