John Sheppard. He's not the worst by any means, he's just the first one I think of because everyone else DID love him, and I couldn't stand him.

From Stargate Atlantis? Why do you hate him? He seems pretty inoffensive to me.

Just mentioned this in an earlier thread: Archie Andrews.

Dolores in Westworld. I liked her in Season 1 but she is unbearable in Season 2.

I actually found her so boring last season and kind of like her this season.

Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne. Billionaire vigilantes just don't interest me.

I wouldn't mind Tony as much if he wasn't so overwhelming.

Ted Mosby is pretty high up.

Most of the main cast on Agents of Shield, May and Skye(or Daisy, whichever she goes by) were the only two I didn't dislike by the time I stopped watching.

I was irritated by Ross but I didn't hate him.

I also suspect Hannibal Lecter was good for only two novels.

I hate a hell of a lot of main characters, tbh. To start, there are way too many awful anime characters to list here, so I'll keep it to: every single male self-insert-y anime protagonist.

Games: Makoto, Morgana & Naoto (Persona). Anders, Iron Bull & Leliana (Dragon Age). Liara & Joker (Mass Effect). Huey & Rose (MGS).

TV: James Gordon (Gotham). Charles Vane (Black Sails). Xander & Wesley (Buffy/Angel). Bellamy (The 100). And the entire cast of Misfits in seasons 4 & 5.

And, as always, Scott Summers.

Chloe Price from the game Life is Strange. I just find her incredibly annoying and want to scream "Get over yourself!" right at her face. The only reason I paused at all before making the final decision in the game was because I didn't want to hurt Max.

Does Hook from Once Upon a Time count as a main character? The focus on him made me finally throw in the towel on the generally shit writing, anyway.

Most "Main" characters in ensemble stories.

First one I really loathed was buffy, but really most of them. Ted. JD. Angel.
