Is slut still an insult? I've seen it used positively so often over the years (including in terms like 'slut-shaming', which I've always taken to mean 'being a slut isn't bad so stop implying it is') that I automatically assumed it wasn't being used that way, tbh.

And yeah, I know you can still cheat in polyamorous relationships, which was the entire reason I included "as long as [cheaters] can get their shit together enough to actually try being honest with their partner(s)" in my original comment.

The way the original commenter used it read as very derisive to me.
