Which do you love?

1. Well, I love Old Spice guy. He's hot. It is nice to see an ad acknowledging women like hot people too.

2. I like that one where the kid is dressed up as Vader and trying to Force-move the car.

3. I like the progressive FLo ads and many/most of the Farmer's Insurance ads.

5. I hate Victoria Secret ads. I feel like they're trying to sell to men rather than the people who will actually wear their products.

6. Axe body spray ads I loath.

I love Victoria’s Secret catalogs! I follow lingerie tumblrs as well. I used to fap to a lingerie catalog in my early teens. I’m bisexual and really turned on by the fantasy element of lingerie and hyperfemininity in general.

There are two right now. I think they're Westpac and NRMA (banking an insurance). Basically just all these weird examples of people helping other people, set to music, and then with the company logo. I can kind of see one of the Westpac examples as accurate because they sponsor a rescue helicopter (though they probably took it off duty to film the ad...) but given the current climate around the banks and insurance companies, it's very tacky and it doesn't sit well with me. Westpac has been found to have done a lot of dodgy shit by the royal commission. I'd rather hear them apologising for being dickheads on repeat.

There is a radio commercial that comes on in Oklahoma (and elsewhere), that is about getting your kids vaccinated (?) for whooping cough. And it is a baby with whooping cough in the background. It is so awful.

I also like them in Spanish. Although Dean Winter is more attractive imo, la male suerte's face cracks me up. It's a bonus (and I don't know if the ad makers were being coy, most likely not) that he has a Spanish accent.

I hate that ad for the Surface where the girl keeps talking about her stupid blog that's sometimes about sprinkles. The ad is annoying, she's annoying, her blog sounds twee and annoying and if I ever wanted a Surface I definitely wouldn't after watching that.

Also the pistachio ad where the elephant is on the floor surrounded by shells and makes a comment about how the squirrel sisters will do anything for a pistachio: "things I don't even want to think about." Are you implying that the squirrels fucked an elephant, commercial? Is that really what you want to imply?

oh my god you're so right. I hate both of those too. well, all of the pistachio ads are just. weird.

fucking hate so many, like...idek what it's advertising but it starts out with "getting out of the friendzone" and then goes to "getting dogs to practice for those kids you're going to have" and it's so fucking heteronormative I want to scream. it's either a bank or a housing thing I think.

axe commercials, Taco Bell's stupid illuminati ones (dude we get it you're stoned), KFC ads, anything featuring a folksy voice singing horrifically off-key to sound quirky, the Coke commercials for their gross fruit flavors because all those people are annoying as fuck, every single Corona commercial ever...

...but I like that one for Snickers with the grandma going "yeah I got it what the hell is it?" about her grandchild's art. probably because I am that old lady.

I love the JG Wentworth one with the people singing opera. It's awesome. I also liked the commercials for A Foundation for a Better Life. I hate the stupid ones like that monkey baby one and the new one for Taco Bell.

Lol yesterday at work a guy on one side of the warehouse shouted I HAVE A STRUCTURED SETTLEMENT AND I NEED CASH NOW and all of us on the other side shouted CALL JG WENTWORTH 877 CASH NOW!!! It was pretty lolzy.

I like the 80s themed Kit Kat commercials. I know it's cheesy, but they're so cute.

I was just watching some of those the other day when I saw a tumblr post that said the packaging was different, so I went to find commercials to see if it was true!

I esp. like the one where the guys are just hanging out and suddenly turn to the camera seriously.

The Shell ads, where they have musicians all signing 'Best Day Of My Life'. I hate all of their voices, I hate shell, I want the ad to go away please.

I can't think of any ads I really hate at the moment, though I did see a somewhat disturbing one the other day where the Venus de Milo was trying to go do ordinary things except she still didn't have arms, so she had to nudge things along with her torso or pick up items with her mouth. Who thought this was a good idea?

The George Sink commercials out of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina are horrible. He is a lawyer. His phone number is all 9's. Several commercials start out normally, but someone will mention the number 9 over and over, then they will say something like "all nines? Is this a George Sink commercial?" Then George Sink will pop up exclaiming "It is!" The guy creeps me out and makes me think of a skeleton. They've used a weather reporter, women looking for clothes/shoes, two guys fishing, a guy playing golf, kids learning math, and several others to start the ad.

late to the party but I love Mayhem and hate hate hate hate hate that Johnsonville commercial where the woman is like 'Jonhsonville brauts are made in the USA~'
