Re: Chris Hardwick... which side do you believe?

Well, I don't think they're really "evidence". But it's six women saying he's definitely not a creep (and Jaimie to the extent that she's putting her professional reputation on the line) and that her story doesn't line up.

Like, generally creepers creep. It's what they do. There's rumors about them, multiple victims, they have a bad reputation, whatever. People have known that Weinstein and Cosby were scum for decades, for example. Same thing with Louis CK or any of these other guys.

I haven't been able to find any dirt on Hardwick. All I've seen is a bunch of women saying he's definitely not an asshole, vs one woman who cheated him and has a widespread reputation as a drama factory.

He could totally be a piece of shit, idk, I'm waiting for Chloe to show off the proof she said she had.

NA

I gotta say, that seems like absolute horseshit evidence to me. I don't think it's correct to require the existence of rumors or multiple victims before you believe allegations. That does not seem like a good standard, to me. It seems to me that, most likely, abusive people can operate in different ways.

I'm also not sure what her adultery would have to do with whether or not she's a victim. People who do bad things can still be victims, and committing adultery doesn't justify abuse.

That's how I see it, anyway, but what the heck do I know.

Personally I don't believe any celeb allegations until there's actually some sort of evidence to back them up, whether that's multiple victims or something concrete like they went to the police when it happened. Celebrities have a hell of a lot to gain by making false claims against each other, without having to deal with a lot of the personal risks us peons have to deal with when we speak out about our experiences.

Her cheating doesn't justify abuse, but it does make me less inclined to trust anything that she says bc she's demonstrably shown herself to be an untrustworthy liar.
