Why do so many people think he is? Please, enlighten me. I genuinely want to know.

And I'm looking for actual evidence here, not just "omg my gaydar says so."

Why should anyone need to prove Zach's gayness to you, any more than you have to prove his straightness? You do realize the unpleasant heteronormative turn your arguments are turning, don't you? Someone asked you a question, geez.

First of all, I'm not the OP. RPS, ew.

Second of all, it's awfully sad that a person can't suggest that a celebrity is straight or even ask for real evidence of gayness without being accused of being "unpleasantly heteronormative" or homophobic.

Third of all, I'm not arguing anything, nor am I trying to "prove his straightness" or whatever. It's not like it's really that big a deal. He's a celebrity that I'm never going to meet. As I said, I'm just genuinely curious to see if people actually have any real, solid evidence to suggest he's gay. Because, yeah, I'm so inclined to trust the "gaydar" of some random faceless person on the interwebs. And because fashion choices don't exactly automatically equal homosexuality.

The lack of self-awareness is ~~staggering~~ actually it's hilarious.

Why do you care so much? The people who "think" he's gay evidently don't; this is a "he probably is, but no one cares" topic in the fandom. If you think he's straight, fine. If people think he's gay, fine. If you're demanding (which you are) proof of the latter, but think it's preposterous that you have to show proof of the former, then yes, you are normalizing "straight" while marginalizing all other sexualities as some odd, rare thing that has to be "proven" before they can even be considered.

I'm not saying anything new or provocative. Also, to be clear, I think using "gaydar" and fashion choices as "proof" is silly, too. Because you can't "prove" anyone is gay. Because--guess what!--no one needs to prove anything.

General demeanor, fashion ~~choices~~ statements, and also the fact that he regularly gets spotted at gay bars. Also, omg my gaydar says so, sry2say.

Anyhow, I don't think OP was implying they think he isn't. It's just what they tell people to cover up their tinhatting of a RPS ship involving him. (Correct me if I'm wrong, OP.)

I'm so out of Heroes fandom I didn't realize they had tinhats :o Well, I did used to "ship" ZQ/SR, but yeah, never thought it was happening in RL.

I don't buy general demeanor or fashion statements as real evidence unless you actually know the guy, but if this

I'm sorry, but there is some truth to the gaydar thing. Most of the time, if you meet a guy and he comes off as gay, it's because he is. I've met him a few times, and yeah, gaaay.

Other than the gaybar spottings, there's also the fact that he's pretty involved with this suicide & crisis prevention helpline for gay and questioning youth. That doesn't really mean anything since I'm sure a lot of straight people are, too, but that's just one among many little things that make me think he's gay.

I'm not necessarily completely discounting the gaydar thing. I too have come across a few guys in my life that really seemed to just give off that vibe. But I hope you can at least see my viewpoint that a bunch of people on the internet (most of which have never met him before and are going off nothing but pictures and interviews) screaming that they just KNOW he's gay just because their gaydar tells them so isn't exactly the most conclusive evidence in the world. Especially considering that virtually every actor in the world who's even remotely well known has people questioning his sexuality at one point or another. Even the ones who have been happily married to women for years.

Honestly, I was just curious why you didn't think he was gay. I don't really have an opinion either way because I've kind of stopped caring about ZQ. Y u gotta answer my question with another question, bb? :(
