Asshat for sure but I don't see it as cowardly to delete it. Once a celeb's social media post gets bad press, it's pretty standard for them delete it and is often seen as being doubly bad if they don't. Like they're leaving it up there as an extra fuck you.

I dunno. I've always thought that deleting was a way of pretending it didn't happen/you didn't say it.

I'd be happier if that kind of stuff stayed up but they then posted a *real* apology.

But which would the media post about and link? And they definitely view leaving it up as someone standing behind it and invalidating the apology. There is no good way to handle it but the best course of action is usually if they delete it and then issue a formal apology as well as post a less formal one on their social media and link the formal one that spells out why they were wrong and that they don't really think the way their post demonstrated. It can mean the differthe nice between ending career or leaving room for a comeback in a few years.

Eh.

I guess we'll agree to disagree.

i think with a topic like that it's best not to leave it up. personally seeing shit like that makes me feel ill and im sure other survivors feel the same too, so i don't think it needs to be up to prove a point.

i can see where you're coming from but anyone who's curious can google it anyway, the internet does not forget

That's true.

I just don't like the idea of someone like 50 Cent getting off easily, deleting and going on as if he never said it.
