Lynn Minmay. The Robotech version.

She's unpopular because she's a whiny teen who's only concerned with her singing career, and she's voiced by someone in the English version who, quite frankly, doesn't sing very well (though to be fair, she knows it and didn't have a choice in the matter).

I like her because she knows what she wants, and isn't afraid to say when she's dissatisfied. She's very supportive of the military and doesn't take shit from anyone who criticizes them unfairly. Maybe she isn't at her best 100% of the time, but she can be kind and gracious. I just kind of feel like people hate her for being human, and for acting like what she is: a teenager.
