It grates me how half of on LJ only talks about mundane things anymore. I've stopped being into fandom too, but listing things no one cares about isn't the only alternative.

I don't know how to convince people to watch my favourite series, and now I'm afraid that reccing it again and again and again is getting counter-productive.

1) Figure out what they like, and sell them on it that way

2) Figure out the reasons why people are resistant to watching it, and eliminate those pain points

3) Just talk about it constantly and repetitively in a place that people will see it and hope that they get curious

Watching my favorite things with people super stresses me out. What if they don't like it? What if they think I'm too childish for liking the thing?

Probably because my best friend/roommate shows me stuff they like all the time and I get excited with them for the sake of being excited, but when I do the same they just kinda shrug and/or raise a skeptical brow. :(

Hm. That sounds more like their problem than yours. Most people are more sensitive to others, especially their friends.

Yay thank you I’m glad other people will get to laugh at my fucked-up libido along with me. Like people compare the character to Jareth and I’m like sorry David Bowie is amazing but he’s not weird enough for my xenokink hindbrain to kick in—oh god that’s a lizardbrain joke argh.

Every damn time I see posts like the troll at the bottom of yesterday's GC thread a part of my brain goes OOOOOH DRAMA YASSSSSSSSS.

I have to remind myself not to engage because I love gossip but this is not ONTD.

BUT I'M STILL KINDA MAD THEY DIDN'T DELIVER.

I want to like The Good Place but I just can't. I love everyone in it, I love Mike Schur, but actually watching the show is just unbearable. I just feel terrible for all the characters.

I feel like I'm one of the few people in Leverage fandom who doesn't ship Parker/Hardison/Eliot. I love Parker/Hardison, and I love Eliot's relationship with them, but I don't view it as romantic at all. I see him as more of a grumpy-but-not-so-secretly-adoring big brother figure to Hardison and especially to Parker. I wouldn't say it bothers me that so many fans OT3 them, but I do wish that there were more Parker/Hardison fics in fandom.

I hate it when people touch me. I mean HATE it. I'll tolerate it if my Mom, aunts, or female cousin hugs me. Anyone else? Get away from me. I seem to attract the people that are touchy-feely. Like touch my shoulder or arm when they are talking to me or coming up behind me and touching my back.

I want to hug various famous-ish people. Like Nostalgia Critic's Dad, Commander from the band The Protomen, or Irish Jesus.

Yeah, Critic's dad does seem particularly huggable. I'm also with you on not liking to be touched in general. Even my mom has to warn me before she hugs me and if any hug goes on for too long (or it happens without a warning) I usually end up having a panic attack.
