Ori and the Blindforest. I gave up after bash on a level that required you to use bash like 10 times in a row.

Final Fantasy XII

Vaan's stupidity was too much for me. I got to the point where they were all 'okay, just don't mention WANTED CRIMINAL'S NAME since he's, you know, wanted' and then the very next person Vaan meets he fucks it up. It wasn't even a high stress situation at the time.

I didn't enjoy the game play either, but it was Vaan's idiocy that made me give up.

Vaan genuinely ruined what could have been a good game. There was zero reason whatsoever for him to be the main character-- everything just kind of happened around him, he was entirely secondary to the actual plot that was happening. I think maybe they were trying to go with an everyman that the player could project onto that wasn't necessarily the focus, but it even failed in that regard because they had to give him at least a little personality, and it was a grating one.

That and the battle system sucked. God, XII sucks.

nayrt but I remember thinking it was kind of interesting that the main character wasn't the protagonist, he was just a normal dude that didn't really affect the plot in a significant way. I guess it was more interesting just because we had had a long set of super secretly awesome soldiers/science experiments/whatever in previous Final Fantasies, so it was kind of a neat shift.

I mostly just felt like all the action was happening far away from my characters. Comparing to, like, FFVII while you are directly tailing the destruction caused by Sephiroth and have personal and emotional ties to the antagonist, FFXII's action felt really remote. I liked Ashe, Balthier, and Fran a lot, and I don't remember hating Vaan, but it has been quite a long time since I played it.

Overwatch, constantly, because people are shitstains and make online play consistently not fun, but I really love the heroes so I keep going back. :( Why can't people just have fun?

I'm about to jump aboard the OW bandwagon (I mean I've al4eady been wolfing down fic for the better part of the year, might as well get Some actual gameplay). What really things do people do/I thought there was a solo mode?

I don't know if it quite counts as ragequit, but Final Fantasy XV and I got off on the wrong foot immediately and the game never managed to make it right. First when I try to play it my PS tells me it has to do an update ...a /six hour/ update. Before I could just play the damn game. Then when I finally get to play it I see there's a battle tutorial, where I got to work out the battle mechanics that I hated (and just on personal preference, I would rather have a game walk me through the battle system in game rather than dump it on me in a separate tutorial that I have to play before I can even start the game, especially after I sat through a six hour update). Then I got lost in the first dungeon and apparently playing that part for too long triggers my motion sickness so I had to quit after wandering around fruitlessly for a half an hour. By this point I just have such a negative reaction to the game I don't even want to try and play more.

World of Warcraft, though it wasn't a ragequit as much as a long simmering slow escalation of dissatisfaction with the game, the lore, the playerbase, and the fandom that tipped me into a "That's the last straw!" zone. Quit a year ago, and, unlike other times I'd stopped playing in the past, I have not had a single flicker of interest in picking it up again.

(Well, not entirely true. If they actually did certain things (e.g., canonize Wranduin in a non-subtextual way), I'd go back to show my support, but they won't, so it's never going to be an issue. Not that it has a huge impact, but I still vote with my dollars.)

I ragequit a round of LoL once. I was already in a bad mood when I started the round and just played really poorly in the opening minutes. Didn't help that my teammates were toxic and kept flaming me, and at about eight minutes I was just so angry I closed the game.

In hindsight it was probably for the best because I was so embarrassed at myself for getting that mad over a video game I forced myself to take a break from League for a week.

Monopoly on SNES
I was playing it with a friend and one of the game's NPC kept trying to get us to do something (buy property maybe?) at every turn. We got tired of it and switched to Super Mario Kart.

Amnesia, because for whatever reason playing the game was giving me some mad nausea. What was embarrassing is that it was a stream , one I told my brother I'd do. I think he was looking forward to seeing me freak out so I feel bad for letting him down on that front. XD.
