I think it's a fair concern. What kind is internship is it? just a semester, or indefinite? If it's only a few months aligning with a school term, I'd recommend just finishing the internship off. Might as well collect the reference and the experience for your resume. If it's longer, money is a factor consideration. If you aren't afraid to lose the job, go ahead and have an earnest conversation with your boss about how you're having trouble managing your various obligations with the need for making money. Nothing wrong with being honest that you don't think you can continue unless there are compensation options, if you aren't worried about potentially losing the internship.
