She didn't, but I bet if it hadn't been radio, she would have, because I'm sure her face was making the 'Bitch, WHAT?!' face. Mine would be was--in fact, I was sitting there going 'you did NOT just say that to a smart, female reporter! OMG' and nearly pulled over to see the reaction, but there wasn't one. Still, WHAT.

I think she chose discretion as the better part of valor only because the guy was the economy chairman for the Obama campaign and she would have just ended up mopping the floor with him for no real newsworthy value. I suppose knowing you could plaster someone with your intellect means you don't necessarily have to do it--plus I'm 90% certain that she figured anyone who was smart enough to get that it was a stupid question would think the guy was stupid without her having to do anything...
